This is Don James
flying his Chinook Plus 2 with Rotax 582 from Kent, Ohio to
Kitty Hawk, NC and back.
Here what Don had to say about his trip:
I can report that the Chinook was very comfortable and roomy.
I carried all the oil, air mattresses, tie-downs, and tents
for both aircraft.
We had no trouble with the
Chinook, or the Quicksilver on the trip. Both have engines
with over 850 hours on them. ( Rotax ) The air was very rough
going over the mountains on the way down, but we had a good 20
MPH tailwind, so it was worth the ride. On the return, we had
very smooth air.
I don't have a lot of Chinook
pictures, as I was camera man, but a few are attached that I
took from my plane over the Great Dismal Swamp.
